Event details
A 'matchmaking' event inviting researchers and VCSE sector members to connect around shared interests in collaborative research.
Join us for a FREE informal afternoon of research-oriented matchmaking for those working in health and wellbeing from across the VCSE and academic sectors. Hosted by the VCSE Research Community of Practice of the VCSE Assembly and University of Exeter, the event invites colleagues from both sectors with an interest in collaborative health and wellbeing research to exchange ideas, learn about each other’s work, share best practice, and forge new partnerships.
Under a broad Health and Wellbeing umbrella, we especially welcome those working within the following areas:
- Children and young people
- Mental health
- Long-term conditions
- Social connection
- Food and nutrition
You DO NOT need to have pre-existing research plans, bids or projects in mind. You DO need to bring a desire to get to know others who share your interests.
The event will include brief introductory talks from Dr Lindsey Anderson (Regional Engagement Manager at the University of Exeter) and Dr Nicola Frost (Devon Community Foundation’s Head of Impact, Insight and Learning), as well as activities designed to encourage collaboration between attendees from across sectors, and plenty of opportunity to chat informally. You are welcome to bring reports and materials to share. There is also plenty of space for stalls and banners if you would like one (please indicate on the booking form) All academic institutions in the county are welcome to attend.
If you have any questions, please let us know at regionalteam@exeter.ac.uk.
